It was a beautiful sunny day inland so we decided to head to the ocean. Unfortunately it was cold and windy at the beach. I'm always saying that when it's hot inland it's cold on the coast. Somewhere in the back of my brain the scientific reason for this is rattling around, something about the hot air pushing out the cold air or something like that, right? The kids didn't mind the weather of course. Even if it had been hailing I don't think the kids would have minded the weather but Miguel and I only lasted a couple hours until we decided to head into Sebastopol, where it was of course once again beautiful. Miguel made us a couple of homemade pizzas to make up for the shortened beach trip. I think we all won in the end.
